Service Monitoring in Applicare
Viewing service details
1. Go to Server Analyzer Menu, click the three dots icon and select Service Monitoring
2. Select the Server from the server drop-down. The service details will be loaded for that server.

Creating custom Dashboard for Service Status.
1. Go to Sensor Analyzer Menu and select the settings icon.
2. Select the Server from the server drop-down and expand "Applicare_ServiceMonitor"
3. Select the inner tab under "Applicare_ServiceMonitor". The service name with their status will be loaded in the right hand side.
For Windows
Property:
Service Display name - Service Name
Value:
0 - Service is not Running
1 - Service is Running
For Linux
Property:
Service Name
Value:
0 - Service is not Running
1 - Service is Running
4. To add Custom Dashboard
- Select the service(s) (one or more services can be selected at the same time) from the grid.
- Select "New" in the Dashboards drop-down.
- Enter the dashboard name.
- Click the "+Add Sensors" button.
5. Click the back arrow icon to go to the dashboard screen.
6. Select the dashboard name from the Sensors/Dashboard drop-down to view the dashboard.
From the dashboard we can see the service up and down time.
Note: Resolution in "Minutes" should be selected for any time period.
Alerting on Service.
To add the alert on service status
1. Go to "Alerts" menu and select the settings icon.
2. Select "JMX Alert" in the "New" drop-down.
3. Specify the below Details
- Enter the Alert name in the "Name" field.
- Enter the Alert Description in the "Description" filed.
- Select the server from the Server drop-down.
- Select the folder icon in the Property field.
- Expand the "Applicare_ServiceMonitor" and select the inner tab.
- Select the service which we need to add it as alert.
- Click the "Select" button.
- Select "Less Than <, Greater Than >, Equals == or Not Equal !=" any one option from the condition drop-down.
- Enter "0" in the Critical filed to add the alert for "Stopped" status. Enter "1" to add the alert for "Running" status and enter "1" for consecutive checks.
- Click "Save".
- The created alert will be displayed in the grid.
- Click the "Back" arrow to go to the alert grid. The triggered alerts will be displayed in the grid.
Note:
If we have configured SMTP setup in Applicare the alerts will be sent to the configured email id's.
