Synthetic Transactions
Synthetic Transactions can be used to monitor the health and performance of your web applications. You can use simple URLs or build complex JMeter scripts to access your site periodically. Applicare will fetch the specified URLs or run the provided JMeter scripts at user-specified time intervals. You will be able to view the historical performance data of your site(s) in the User Experience Analyzer. Also, you will be able to view the detailed trace data for each individual HTTP call if you have enabled Applicare Business Transaction Management on the target servers and for the accessed URLs.
Configuration
Monitors can be configured by accessing Applicare -> UEM -> Configure Synthetic Monitors page. Applicare supports simple URL monitors and JMeter scripts that can be used to perform complex tasks as login and run through multiple transactions and validations on a site. When using JMeter scripts make sure you have set the Number of Threads and Loop Count to 1 in the script before uploading to Applicare.
