Installing SingleAgent on Linux

Linux Installation Steps

1. Login into Applicare console, go to Download Agents screen.

2. Click the SingleAgentLinux button to download the agent. It will download the ApplicareSingleAgentLinux.zip file. Copy ApplicareSingleAgentLinux.zip file to the machine where agent is to be deployed.

3. Unzip the ApplicareSingleAgentLinux.zip file to ApplicareSingleAgentLinux directory.

4. Provide chmod -R 777 permission to the ApplicareSingleAgentLinux directory.

Step 5, 6, 7 and 8 is recommended only for java app server monitoring agents.

5. Go to "ApplicareSingleAgent/wrapper/linux" directory.
6. Install wrapper by going to "ApplicareSingleAgent/wrapper/linux" and executing this command ./install.sh
7. Start any java app server.
8. The agent will be automatically added to the java app server and will start reporting data to Applicare controller. Login in to Applicare Console and go to Overview screen to view the agent.

Note:

To capture the network details "net-tools" package should be installed in the machine (or) docker container (if the agent is running inside the docker).
