It is recommended to have Applicare controller, Applicare database & Applicare BT Collector/s to be on dedicated machine/s for consistent performance & scalability.

Recording of Key Business Transactions (KBT) data is what takes most of the resources in Applicare. Additional BT Collectors can be added as the number of KBTs grow. A BT collector can collect data from one or many Applicare agents and hence helps in scaling of Applicare environment. 

Performance and scalability of Applicare database is critical in overall Applicare performance and scaling.

• Number of agents supported: up to 8000
• Disk space: 30 TB  - this # will vary significantly depending upon the data collected and duration for which data is kept.

• RAM: 8 GB
• Disk space: 5 GB 

Applicare Controller, Database and BT Collector can be on the same VM provided VM meets the combined requirements for all.
