SNMP device monitoring in Applicare
Applicare SingleAgent will automatically discover the snmp devices (Listening the port 161 and 'public' community string) available in the network. Once the device is discovered SingleAgent will automatically add the snmp device in Applicare Console and starts to monitor its availability.
In case if the user wants to discover snmp devices from any other network or port other than 161, they can configure the range of network IP and its port to scan for snmp devices.
We can see the SNMP device details like snmp device name, description, All OIDs, port etc., in Server Analyzer -> Server Info screen.
If we want to monitor any OIDs periodically, then we can add the OID as sensor and customize their own dashboard in Sensors Analyzer screen.
By default Applicare will map the snmp device OIDs with standard MIB. In case if user have their own MIB file then they can upload it from Manage SNMP device screen.
These MIBs will be displayed in Add/Edit server dropdown where user can select their device organization and relevant MIB. This change will require agent restart.
